Biography
Dr. Konrad Wasylewski is our new Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with more than 13 years of clinical experience. He has four international Licenses and Board Certifications in Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery (Germany, United Kingdom, U.A.E, Poland) with additional German certified sub-specializations in Special Trauma Surgery and Emergency Medicine.
After completing his Master’s Degree in Medicine on the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, and during his training as an orthopedic surgeon in Germany, he gained expertise in cartilage repair and joint preservation techniques and surgeries in a hospital with most cartilage repair procedures in Germany – St. Vinzenz Hospital in Dinslaken.
As a specialist, he worked in one of the largest trauma hospitals in Germany – BG Klinikum in Duisburg. High complex trauma procedures on adult and pediatric patients, polytrauma management, emergency situations, revision septic operations, rehabilitation, and sport-medicine arthroscopic surgeries were his daily routine, as well as working as an emergency doctor on the rescue helicopter “Christoph 9”.
After obtaining the Special Trauma Surgery sub-specialization he became a Consultant in the ski town Winterberg. There, he gained expertise in the minimally invasive total hip replacement technique with excellent postoperative outcomes and other, mainly arthroscopic, orthopedic sport injury procedures.
In the last year, Dr. Konrad worked as a Consultant in Arnsberg, Germany. Joint preservation techniques, ligamentary, and cartilage surgery, and hip/knee total and partial replacements were his main areas of interest.
He is a certified arthroscopic surgeon of AGA – Europe’s largest society for arthroscopy and joint surgery.
Every year, he visits many international congresses and courses to develop further his skills and update his knowledge.
His special interest is 3D printing and rapid prototyping in orthopedics for operation planning and reconstructing surgeries.
